An introduction to KX Dashboards
KX Dashboards is an interactive data visualization tool that enables non-technical and power users to query, transform, share and present live data insights.
Rich visualizations of both static and real-time streaming data can be built using drag-and-drop and point-and-click operations in an easy to use editor.
Powered by modern web technologies, KX Dashboards can be used in all major browsers across mobile and desktop environments.

Core concepts
This section provides an overview of the core concepts you'll encounter throughout the KX Dashboards documentation.

Workspace: The primary editing environment where you organize dashboards, manage resources, and configure layouts.

Components: Reusable building blocks that render data and drive interaction within the dashboard.

Data Sources: Used to retrieve data, from connected databases, for use by dashboard components.

View States: Used to store values accessible to all components of the dashboard.

Actions: Defined triggers and handlers that respond to user interactions (such as clicks or input changes) to update view states or fetch new data.

Templates: Used to modify how data is formatted and displayed.

Highlight Rules: Common property utilizing color and/or icon markers to notify users of value changes.
