This page describes how to set up and configure the External Content component, a container for external Web content.

Set up External Content

To set up an External Content component, click-and-drag the component into the workspace and configure the following:

  1. Set a Name for the component.

  2. Provide a URL source for the content.

  3. Style the component.

External Content properties

The following sections provides details on how to configure the properties of the External Content component.

Basics

Open the Basics properties on the right and configure the properties described in the following table.

Provide the HTTP/S source for the content.

Warning

Cross domain and Embed Restrictions

Ensure external content link (HTTP/S) matches hosting link type to ensure external content is not hidden because of cross domain issues - typically HTTPS. In addition, some web pages may restrict or deny embedding in third party sites (X-Frame-Options).
