kdb Insights Enterprise captures and analyzes your high-volume, high-velocity, machine-generated, time-series data. Built on top of kdb+, our column-based, relational, time-series database, kdb Insights Enterprise provides a full range of pre-configured services from the Insights SDK product. Refer to the reference architecture to get you started, or customize the system to meet your organization’s needs.

Key features

Data discovery and exploration

• Ingest data from multiple sources, including historical and real-time, process it, and use the generated insights to inform decision-making processes in your business.

• Interact with the product through the web interface, command line interface, or VScode plugin.

• Import, transform, and query data using q, Python or SQL.

• Create graphs and charts to identify patterns and trends, and to present results.

Scalability

• Insights Enterprise is built on top of Kubernetes, allowing the underlying cloud platform to handle scaling and orchestration. The system scales to meet your requirements.

• Deploy Insights Enterprise on your Azure Marketplace subscription, a KX Managed offering on Azure Marketplace, or on your own Kubernetes cluster.

Security and access

Restrict access to Insights Enterprise with robust authentication, using user identity authentication and authorization, where permission to use system features is defined in user accounts.

Available and fault tolerant data

• Designed with process level redundancy and node assignment in mind.

• Retain multiple copies of data, ensuring that no data point is duplicated or lost.

• Apply multiple process redundancy for both streaming analytics and query processing, enabling individual process, node, and availability zone failures without impacting primary data functionality.

• Deploy across multiple availability zones to handle single AZ failures.

Diagnostics

Provides a self-help diagnostics facility in the Web Interface to view logs of historical and recent events.
